waiting in line

Potentially my hottest take, but I didn’t always feel this way! A few months ago I was feeling down and doomscrolling and decided I had to get out of the house or I was just going to feel worse. I drove to get matcha and the place I wanted to go to had a line of 20 people. Within a couple minutes the girls standing in front of me and I were chatting and throwing recs & compliments back and forth. I walked away grinning and realizing how nice it is to have the tiniest bit of IRL connection and was so thankful to be off my phone. Not every line situation is that rewarding ofc but almost all offer up some eavesdropping entertainment, especially here in LA.
